Through our collaboration with the friendly folks of the West Central Mission we were provided with a small garden plot. Beginning in 2019, this plot was planted with herbs and maintained by an Herbal Guild Coordinator and community volunteers.
Another garden plot has been donated for our use in South Spokane and will be set-up in 2020 for use as a perennial herb garden.
Other garden areas near Spokane have been offered for our use, and will be developed as soon as we have volunteers to provide coordination.
The herbs raised on these Community Gardens help support the needs of the Apothecary for the activities of the Inland Northwest Chapter of Herbalists Without Borders.
YOU can get involved too!
Designate a portion of YOUR garden to growing an herb needed for our community outreach Apothecary.
Donating new or used garden hoses, hand tools, sprinklers, shovels, etc.
Donating herb starts or seeds.
Donating clean cardboard (no heavy dyes/photos) for mulching.
Donating / delivering manure.
Volunteering to help in the gardens in any manner that fits YOUR schedule.
