 2/3/21  BOD meeting at 12:30 pm

Present for meeting: Carla, Jessica, Torie, Cara, Mary

1 Finances, Bank account, HWB donations, Pay Pal account, Website

-Bank account: It was voted on that there is no need to get a new account number after discussion on the issue of it being sent over email.

-HWB can deposit any donated funds to us directly in a pay pal account with no fee where a paper check will cost 5.00.

-Pay Pal account to be established for website and Guild use. Possibly two separate accounts if needed.

-Patreon or another platform for website market place to be looked into by Torie

-Financial report by Cara: Account balance of 763.23 after deductions of 10.00 and 12.37 for checks.

HWB donation checks meeting the nonprofit tax requirements need to be written to: Herbalist Without Boarders with a notation of Four Seasons Herbal Guild on it.

  1. Bylaws

Perused through the bylaws to identify articles needed for review. Volunteers were accepted to read articles and suggest any amendments for subcommittee meeting set for 2/10/21 at 4:09. After checking with Lily, Torie will create the link through Google Meet.

3.Newsletter

A quarterly newsletter was agreed upon with up-dates on activities, recipes, herbal monographs, wild crafting corner, upcoming classes and events and maybe a featured seasonal herb was suggested. 

Seasonal solstices and equinoxes decided as our release dates. 

Deadline for next newsletter is March 1st.

Jessica with be our editor, coordinator and chief artistic goddess.

  1. Plant sale

Discussion by Jessica regarding plant Sale in April. Skeeter  will be here for his workshop on April 17-18
*1 day wildcrafting & 1 day micro-farming medicinal plants.
*micro-farming and plant sale could be either on Saturday or Sunday
*MF workshop will be in Hillyard, at Leslie Rickman’s: Wolfpack Garden, it’s on Regal, about 5 blocks north of Francis
*Park next door, she knows the owners we could do sale there

Skeeter will have starts & seeds as well as Leslie, Chrys O. and Jessica 

  1. Spokane Herbal Fair 

September dates were cleared by the West Central Abbey. 

Discussion on a date for a “go” decision on the faire this year will be followed up on next meetings until we decide. Waiting on vaccination and community safety information.

Our food Goddess Susan contact information requested 

Jessica has updated all the volunteer role Docs and can be found in the Faire file in Google docs and is getting all her ducks in a row.

 

  1. Vendors Market on Trent

Discussion on possibly sharing a space in the vendors market on Trent. Possibly having the Herbal Guild be the space’s name and whom ever interested may play a part in selling herb products, decorating, and paying the fees. 

Space can also be used for sharing information on the Guild, the Faire and HWB.

Space is 75.00 per month.

Torie, Carla and Mary will meet in a sub group to further discuss this idea

 

  1. Updates on the HWB and Gardening projects were tabled until next month
  2. Meeting adjourned 2:40.
